The Gender Theme Is Also Within The Framework Of The UWEARM Study And IsConsistent With This Project

The United Nations Development Program, within the framework of “Womenin Politics, Public Administration and Civil Society program”, in cooperation with“New Armenia: Modern Parliament” program, organized “Gender Equality” inTsaghkadzor on October 12-14 and November 2-4.In the context of modern leadership and policy-making two trainings courses were organized for RA women MPs and women members of political parties.

The purpose of the training courses was to impart knowledge and skills ongender-sensitive leadership, gender mainstreaming, and gender-sensitivebudgeting to female deputies of the National Assembly and female members ofpolitical parties.

The features and development trends of gender equality, inclusivecommunication and modern leadership were also studied within the framework ofthe course.The UNDP “Women in Politics, Public Administration and Civil Society” programwill continue the series of training courses, imparting knowledge and skills to civilservants on the topic “Equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men inArmenia”.

The project “Women in politics, public administration and civil society” isimplemented with the financial support of the Good Governance Foundation ofthe United Kingdom, in cooperation with the RA Ministry of TerritorialAdministration and Infrastructure and OxEJen Foundation.

“New Armenia: Modern Parliament” project is implemented with the financialsupport of the Swedish Government in cooperation with the RA National Assembly.
